Saksham Scholarship Diploma And Degree Courses Scholarship

The AICTE is currently accepting applications for the Saksham Scholarship for the higher education of disabled applicants. This award is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Development. As per this scholarship, the applicants who are studying in Degree or Diploma level courses will be awarded monetary awards in order to support their higher-level education. This amount will cover the education expenses that these applicants have to pay on such a level. The final date to apply for this scholarship is 31 October 2023. The aspirants who are interested and eligible to avail of the benefits under this scheme will have to apply online.

Saksham Scholarship Programme 2023 Objective
Saksham is an MHRD Programme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue technical education. This is an attempt to give every young applicant, who is otherwise specially-abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future through technical education/ knowledge.
Eligibility of Saksham Scholarship
Diploma
- The aspirant should be admitted to the 1st year of the Diploma level course OR the Second year of the Diploma level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved institutions of the respective year.
- Specially-abled applicants, having a disability of not less than 40percent.
- Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current economic year.
Degree
- The aspirant should be admitted to the 1st year of Degree level course OR 2nd year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved institutions of the respective year.
- Specially-abled applicants, having a disability of not less than 40percent.
- Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current economic year.
Saksham Scholarship Programme 2023 Number Of Scholarships
Diploma
All eligible specially-abled applicants admitted to the first year of Diploma level course OR Second year of Diploma level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institutions will get the scholarship.
Degree
All eligible specially-abled applicants admitted to the First year of Degree level course OR Second year of Degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institutions will get the scholarship.
AICTE Saksham Scholarship Programme 2023
Amount Of Scholarship
- Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum three years for first-year admitted applicants and maximum 2 years second year admitted students through lateral entry as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software, etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc.
- No documentary proof needs to be attached for the above while contain benefits.
Mode Of Payment
After selection, the scholarship will be paid a scholarship through DBT mode on annual basis.
Renewals of Saksham Scholarship 2023
- The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal through National Scholarship site by submitting a passing certificate/ marksheet along with the letter from the Head of the Institution on the online site.
- An applicant failing to get promoted to the next class/ level would forfeit the scholarship.

- First of all, visit the official site scholarships.gov.in
- The home page will appear on the screen.
- At the top of the page, student can see the Web Portal Login button.
- Click on the Log in to the page.
- Apply to the Saksham Scholarship 2023.
- Fill in the complete Saksham Scholarship 2023 application form details.
- Press on the submit button.
