This Services Selection Board center was established in 2015 and became operational in 2016. It has Two (2) Services Selection Board boards named as 31 SSB and 32 SSB.
Indian Air force has total 4 AFSBs (Air Force Selection Board) for recruiting officers. These four AFSBs of IAF work throughout the year to for the selection of deserving aspirants to induct them as commissioned officers in Indian Air Force.

The Board was renamed as No 7 General Selection Board in March 1944, then Royal Indian Air Force Board and moved to its present situation at Clement Town in Oct 1948.
The board was rename as Royal IAF Selection Board. Post 26 Jan 1950, it completely was rename as Air Force Selection Board. in 1962, with Mysore arising as 2 AFSB, the unit was rename as 1 AFSB.

AFSB Gandhi Nagar north is the new induct center in the list before AFSB Guwahati. It was establish in 2012. 3 AFSB Gandhi Nagar is situate in Sector 9 of Gandhinagar which is also the headquarter of South Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force. The main purpose of the AFSB is to evaluate the aspirants on the basis of certain criteria. After clearing written test like AFCAT, NDA, CDS, etc. an aspirants has to clear this stage.

Services Selection Board Kolkata
Indian Navy’s first full-fledged Services Selection Board (SSB) was establish on 14 May 2019 at Diamond Harbour, near Kolkata.
SSB (Kolkata) is situate approximately 55 km away from central Kolkata, on land that was previously occupy by a Naval Coastal Battery. This is the 5th Service Selection Board of the Indian Navy and caters for selection of both Permanent and Short Service Commission officers.
